Abaya Size Guide: Find Your Perfect Fit

Finding the right abaya size shouldn't feel complicated. Whether you're picking out an everyday abaya for yourself or a school uniform abaya for your child, this guide will help you land on the right size in a couple of minutes.

Our abayas are made with a relaxed, flowy fit and a little bit of stretch, so there's always some comfortable room built in. Measure, check the chart, and you'll know exactly what to order.

How to Measure: 4 Simple Steps

Grab a soft measuring tape and take a couple of minutes. This works whether you're measuring yourself or your child.

1. Chest Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest, just under the arms. Keep it level all the way around, and don't pull it tight.

2. Waist Measure around the natural waistline, where the body bends side to side.

3. Length Measure from the top of the shoulder down to where you'd like the abaya to end. Most of our abayas are designed to reach the ankle.

4. Sleeve Measure from the shoulder down to the wrist.

One thing to keep in mind: our fabric has a little stretch, so don't pull the tape too tight while measuring. Measure for the fit you actually want, comfortable, not snug, and the numbers will hold up.

How Our Abayas Fit

Our abayas are designed to be relaxed and roomy, not tight or fitted. They're made to flow comfortably, so you can move, sit, and pray with ease.

The fabric has a little natural stretch too, so you don't need to worry about hitting the measurement exactly. There's some built-in comfort either way.

We also measure every size by hand, so the chart below reflects real, true-to-size measurements rather than rough estimates.

Regular Abaya Size Chart (XS–XL)

If you're shopping for an everyday abaya, use the chart below to find your size.

(This chart will display your bust, waist, length, and sleeve measurements in inches for sizes XS through XL, once your final spec sheet is added.)

If you're between two sizes, size up. Because our fabric has a little give, a slightly bigger size will still feel comfortable, not loose, and it won't ever feel too tight.

School Uniform Abaya Size Chart (Ages 11–18)

Shopping for your child's school uniform abaya? This chart is grouped by age and height, so you can find the right size quickly without guessing from a generic adult chart.

Size Age Height Bust (in) Length (in) Sleeve (in)
XS 11 yrs 4'6"–4'9" 22 50 21
S 12–13 yrs 4'9"–5'1" 22 52 22
M 13–14 yrs 5'1"–5'3" 23 54 23
L 14–15 yrs 5'3"–5'5" 24 56 24
XL 15–18 yrs 5'5"–5'7"+ 25 58 25

Not sure which one fits best? Go by your child's current bust measurement first. Height and age are just there to double-check you're in the right range.

Buying for a Growing Child? Here's What We Recommend

Kids grow fast, especially between school terms. Here's how to make the uniform last longer without sacrificing fit today:

  • Choose the size that matches your child's current bust measurement.
  • Expecting a growth spurt before the next size review? It's fine to size up slightly for a bit of extra room.
  • If your child measures between two sizes, size up rather than down. Thanks to the fabric's slight stretch, a bigger size will still look neat and feel comfortable, not baggy.
